If you ask Ellie how we met, she'll say Hinge. If you ask Sebastian, he'll swear it was a blind date. The truth? A little bit of both! Sebastian had a friend managing his Hinge profile and setting up dates for him (yes, really), so when Ellie started chatting with "Sebastian," she was unknowingly messaging someone else entirely! Thankfully, by the time their first date rolled around, the real Sebastian showed up—and from that moment on, everything clicked. We had our first date on December 2, 2022. We met up for drinks and ended up talking for hours, completely wrapped up in getting to know each other. A few days later, we had our second date... and we never really stopped seeing each other after that. Life was a bit chaotic for both of us at the time, with a lot happening behind the scenes. But somehow, amidst all of it, we found unexpected comfort and joy in each other. We always managed to laugh, have fun, and support one another through everything. In April 2023, Sebastian said “I love you” (he said it first!), and Ellie happily said it back. By August, Sebastian was already making sweet, slightly tipsy proposals—which quickly became one of Ellie’s favorite memories. Then, in November 2024, Sebastian made it official. He proposed in the mountains, in a spot that’s especially meaningful to us—a place where we had shared so many spoken dreams of getting married one day. It was a complete surprise to Ellie, and it was perfect. Our relationship has been built on love, openness, and trust from the very beginning. We both feel incredibly lucky to have found each other—and now, we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you!
