I first met Joey when he was setting up my work station when I started as a temp at Bay Federal. When I later joined the HR team, the HR and Technology cubicles were just over the wall from each other. Joey managed our work softball team at the time and encouraged me to play. After spending more time together, we decided to get a beer after one practice, and the rest is history!

We headed up to Bend, Oregon to spend some time before Christmas with Joey's family and to celebrate his Mom, Lisa's, birthday. Our first night there I went to go get my nails done with Joey's sister, Tiana, and Lisa because Lisa wanted a fresh manicure for her birthday! The next morning, Lisa and her husband, Greg, planned to go run errands. Joey suggested a walk in the park with Nala - so I naturally decided to wait to shower until later in the day. Lisa walked out while getting ready and declared that they should meet us in the park after their errands and we'll take a family photo.... Joey was super excited and suggested all 3 couples could order large prints of the family photo to hang in our houses..... so, shower and getting ready was back on! When we arrived at the park to walk Nala, Lisa was waiting with her tripod where she had found the "perfect spot!!" for our family photo. After the family photo, couples photos were suggested, and that's when Joey proposed! After I said "Yes!!" Joey told me our friends were here also, and out behind a tree they ran! My parents were on facetime too since they couldn't make it! I was so shocked and brought to tears! We got to celebrate the rest of the day/night with our friends and family and it will always be such a special memory. We can't wait to celebrate our next big day with you!
