We met while working at El Capitan fishing lodge in Southeast Alaska, Summer of 2014. What started out as a seasonal friendship blossomed into a long-distance relationship while Kelsie was living in Alaska and Cody was finishing Grad School in Idaho. We met up at various places around the country as often as we could until Cody moved up to Alaska full-time in June of 2019. Shortly after, we committed to co-parenting a fur child and rounded out our family.
There is no grand proposal story of our engagement, just an intimate conversation that led to a mutual confirmation of a lifelong commitment to each other. We decided it was important for us to express our love and promise to each other in front of our family and closest friends. We would be so thrilled if all our favorite people in the world would gather to join us in celebrating our love by partying until the cows come home on the beautiful beaches of Oregon.
