After a long night at Texas Roadhouse, the crew got together at Tap House for their nightly gossip sessions and beers. Valerie had noticed Cody at work for a few months and thought he was cute, so she tried to start conversation with him that night at Tap house but Cody kept avoiding her. Come to find out, Cody also had his eyes on Valerie and was too shy! She mentioned to her friends how she wanted to get to know him, and they ended up coordinating this pow wow in hopes sparks would fly! Cody and Valerie spent the night drinking beers and getting to know each other. They spent the next few weeks texting and Valerie asked him out on their first date to El Tequila Salsa for 2 for 1 margaritas! Their first date was a success. Valerie couldn't stop smiling as they spent the night sharing stories and laughing with each other over their margaritas. Minutes turned into hours and before they knew it, the restaurant was closed. They headed on over to Tap house to finish the night. They both were so happy and they did not want the night to end!

Cody planned a trip for two to Minneapolis, Minnesota where he planned to propose. Valerie thought it was a trip for Valentine's Day. They packed the Chevy Trax and took off for the weekend. Saturday was the big day! Cody filled their day with their favorites activities, which included shopping, and dining. That night, they got dressed up and left for their reservations at Chianti Grill where Valerie's brother, Tristan works. They had a great night eating Italian food and sharing dessert, and enjoying each other's company. They left the restaurant for the hotel and Cody told Valerie he had her Valentine's Day gift in the room and to head on in first. She opened the door, and the room was decorated with rose petals, candies, and a card. The bottom of the card read, "I can’t wait anymore and have an important question to ask you.." When Valerie looked up, Cody was on one knee and the rest is history!
