Our Favorite Places in Florence . . .

All’Antico Vinaio

A Florentine sandwich staple! The shop is considered by locals as a bit over-rated and touristy but it's delicious and one of the cheapest meals we had our entire trip. You can also find this place in NYC and LA, but if you're in Florence you've got to go to the original. p.s. there are quite a few of these in the same location in Florence, if one shop has a long line try looking for another one

Trattoria Zà Zà

A wonderful place for dinner! You'll see plenty of locals dining here. Pro-tip: try the Bistecca Fiorentina (Florentine Steak) here.

Venchi

Our favorite place for Gelato and Italian chocolates. A little touristy and there are some stores in the US but it's delicious. Make sure to order your cup or cone with the chocolate sauce!

Vivoli

Another spot for gelato. However, their affogato is the show stopper here. Be warned, there may be a long line.

What to do in Tuscany . . .

Officina della Bistecca

Dario Cecchini is one of the world's most well-known butchers who believes in using every part of the animal in his restaurants. Officina della Bistecca is located in the Chianti region in the town of Panzano, mere steps away from the Pensione. You can see him and his restaurant on an episode of Chef's Table, Season 6 Episode 2 on Netflix.

La Fattoria di Vignamaggio

Enjoy lunch or pick from a variety of tours and tastings of Vignamaggio's beautiful farm, winery, and olive oil production. Pick up pasta, red and white wines, olive oil, and other packaged gifts here in the shop to bring home.

Elsa River Park

Located within an hours drive from Vignamaggio, this unique hiking area is a beautiful place to explore with trails, swimming spots, and a waterfall featuring a stunning turquoise blue color.
