Where you would like to stay depends mostly on your personal taste!  Raleigh has several great areas to choose from.  You may enjoy Midtown Raleigh, with restaurants, coffee and more all in walking distance.  Downtown Raleigh has a unique feel, a bit more hipster than Midtown.  If you'd like to stay as close to the event as possible, there is a Ramada or a Four Points by Sheraton on either side of the party location.  The Aloft is the closest hotel in our own neighborhood right by NC State campus.  It has a great coffee shop in the bottom and is walking distance to Cameron Village and all Hillsborough has to offer!  We have not done a room block as there are so many options to choose from and you should have no problem finding whatever is best for you!
