The Wedding Website of Emily Clouse and Ryan McCarthy
You probably won't take a gondola to Chicago, but hey, we won't tell you how to live.

Shuttle

Shuttle from Athletic Association to City View Loft

April 6, 2024 4:00 pm

There will be a 56-passenger bus departing the Athletic Association from the side of the hotel at 71 E. Madison Street at 4:00 pm. There will only be one trip, so please note that this option will be first come first served. We recommend Uber/Lyft/taxis for everyone else. Thank you! The bus will also take one trip from the wedding venue back to the Athletic Association at 11:15 pm at the end of the night.

Hotel

Chicago Athletic Association

12 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60603

This is a beautiful, historic hotel on Michigan Ave. right across from Millennium Park. It offers lovely amenities to make your stay in Chicago extra special—including a rooftop bar with a view of the Bean, a hidden speakeasy, and the game room where we're having our welcome event! We no longer have any rooms in a block available, but you can call 844-312-2221 and reference the McCarthy - Clouse Wedding Room Block to inquire about current rates. If you are driving to Chicago, there is a parking garage across the street from the hotel (entrance ramp is in the median of Michigan Ave.) You can reserve parking in advance by going to millenniumgarages.com/extendedstayparking and choosing the Grant Park North parking garage. The price for Fri - Sun should be about $50.

Travel Note

Other Hotels

Feel free to stay wherever you like! There are tons of convenient hotels and Airbnbs in Chicago. We recommend staying in The Loop downtown so you're just a short Uber ride away from our venue in the West Loop! You'll also be centrally located with easy access to things to do and public transportation. Let us know if you have any questions at all!

Travel Note

Taking the train from the airport

If you're flying in and want to save some money or are simply up for a little adventure, you can take the train (called the L, for "Elevated") from either airport! Once you land, follow signs for ground transport/public transportation to find the train. You can purchase a Ventra card right before exiting, or just pay per ride by using Tap to Pay on your phone! The Blue Line goes to and from O'Hare airport. If you're staying at the Chicago Athletic Association, get off at the Washington stop, and it's a 7-minute walk from there. The Orange Line goes to and from Midway Airport. If you're staying at the Chicago Athletic Association, get off at Washington/Wabash, and it's a 2-minute walk from there.
