The sun was shining, the waves were crashing, and volleyballs were being punted…just a typical day on 21st street until Clint and Sheila were on the same team. There was no denying that there was an instant attraction but as luck would have it Clint would leave the very next day for a month-long European boy’s trip. Clint arrived back just in time for the infamous 6man volleyball tournament. Sheila’s team won gold and Clint quickly became a jersey chaser. This is really where it all started, and they began building a solid foundation that launched them to where they are today. Two fur babies and a house later, they are so in love and couldn’t be more thrilled to share this moment with you all.
Clint planned a picturesque apple picking day in Oak Glen, CA where the two of them enjoyed all of the apple orchid things. To his dismay, he did not realize it was the end of apple picking season which meant rotting apples everywhere and very few actually in the trees to be picked. For every good apple they found, they celebrated as if they won the lottery! All and all, it was an amazing day but it was definitely not the right vibe for a proposal. Once they got home, Clint hung a diamond apple in the tree in their backyard. While Sheila was doing dishes, he asked her to come out to pick the last apple. He popped the question in their very own backyard with both Cota and Maui as fur baby witnesses. He then continued to recite an apple poem he had written and SHE SAID YES!!! You are the apple of my eye The slice to complete my pie From the center of my core To the roots we put down and more I can't wait to sow our apple seeds And grow our strong little trees What a Gala we will have blessed above To celebrate the Ambrosia of our love You are my sweet Honeycrisp And I'll still be here when you're my Granny Smith From then to now and now to then with ease The juice will always be worth the squeeze
