Carly and Matt originally met in 2006 through mutual friends. While Carly immediately developed a crush on the high school freshman Matt, she was too shy to say anything. Fifteen years later, the two reconnected in New York, where Matt was living and Carly was visiting friends from college. It didn't take long for both of them to realize it was something special and no amount of distance could keep them apart.

Priest Lake has always been Carly's favorite place in the world and Matt knew he wanted to make it even more special for her. After morning coffee and watching the sun rise, Matt walked Carly out to the dock. At this point it was pretty clear what was going to happen; Carly kept shaking and repeatedly muttering "this is happening right now". Matt held her close and told her he'd loved her long before he said it before getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him. Here's to these two loving each other forever :).
