When we go up to Estes we always stop and get a tasting at the Snowy Peaks Winery. All of their wines are made in house downstairs and come from grapes from Colorado. If you like wine, we would suggest getting a tasting here one of the days we are here! -Clare Wine good - Kevin
This is one of our favorite places to stop at on our way up or back from Estes Park. It is in Lyons, CO which you go through to get to Estes. They make delicious spirits and cocktails. It is a fun spot to stop if you need to stretch your legs!
Do your kids want to go play in the snowy mountains, or maybe you are trying to be a kid again. If so Hidden Valley is for you. It is only 20 minutes from downtown Estes Park and a popular sledding spot. Bonus: on the weekends there is a warming hut nearby. Sled rentals are available throughout the town of Estes Park. Don't forget to get a park pass.
