Claire and Rebecca met the old-fashioned way... through online dating. After seeing Rebecca on another dating app, Claire decided to “shoot her shot” on Hinge and Rebecca wrote back. A short 24 hours after connecting, Claire asked Rebecca out to drinks, and the two met a week later at Park & Rec in San Diego. Conversations on politics, comedy, podcasts, and more led to a five-hour first date.

Claire and Rebecca got engaged on their vacation to Orcas Island in August 2023. After reassuring her that it wasn't going to be a hike, Claire suggested to Rebecca that they walk down to a cove next to the ocean before finding a place for dinner. The cove was quiet and beautiful. After a few minutes of watching the view, Claire popped the question! Of course, Rebecca said “yes” (while crying into her hands). Claire had made reservations for a nice dinner afterwards, where they watched the sunset over the sound. Rebecca proposed to Claire that night after dinner. The rest of the vacation became the most perfect engagement celebration!
