Pat and I met at Jimmy John's six years ago while I was a student at EMU. I thought Pat was handsome and funny, and he thought I was beautiful and awkward. I loved my last two hours of the shift, because that's when Pat came in to work as the night shift manager. Pat would hold "who could make the smallest face" competitions, and he always made me laugh. I quit in the summer to focus on one job, and promised to be back in the fall. When I came back for fall semester, we both couldn't stop smiling. A few weeks later I quit but I kept coming back to hang out with Pat. I liked going to Jimmy John's at night to hang out with Pat, and then to Fleetwood Diner at 4 in the morning, laughing at gifs and family stories. Almost six years later we're still laughing and excited to start Our Forever with you!
One of our first dates was at the Wooden Spoon, and it became our anniversary date each year. A little past our fifth anniversary, I met Pat for dinner. I showed up having no clue that he was going to propose, much less that he had a ring. He told me we had a later reservation then he originally said over the phone, therefore we could walk the board walk before dinner. I was casually talking about blonde ducks and where a good spot would be for a turtle to sit on when suddenly he turned the conversation into a more serious one. Before I understood the gravity of his words, he bent down on one knee and pulled a beautiful ring out of his pocket. I screamed "are you serious?!" a few timed before I could squeal out a "Yes!"
