WHY DID WE DECIDE TO DO A 3-DAY WEEKEND WEDDING?
Answer
Our family and friends mean a lot to us, so we wanted to have a celebration that would be fun and memorable for all. We feel that this is the perfect venue to bring everyone together for a big reunion. Hawkesdene has something to offer everyone, whether you want a relaxing weekend cuddling up by the fire with a book or a little more adventurous like hiking up to the waterfall!

Are children invited?
Answer
We love your children but it is special to us to have a weekend where everyone can relax, explore, and unwind. We kindly ask that you do not bring your children unless they are specifically invited.

What should I wear?
Answer
For the wedding day, please plan to dress in semi-formal attire and be prepared for potentially cold temperatures. The average day temperature for this area in December is around 55F and may dip some in the evening. The reception will be covered with heaters!

What should I pack?
Answer
1. Please see the schedule to better understand the clothing recommendations of each day. 2. BYOB (bring your own bottles!). We will be providing alcohol the day of the wedding and throughout the weekend but still encourage our guests to bring their own if there is something specific you may enjoy more. 3. Layers. Although we will be celebrating in the South East, the weather can still fluctuate so bring a couple of sweaters just in case.
