RSVP deadline has passed – let us know if you'll be able to join us in Mexico and celebrate with us ASAP! Please book your stay ASAP – this will be your official RSVP. All resort reservations must be booked using the link on the 'Travel & Booking' section of our website or by going to: https://cancun.garzablancaresort.com/wedding-groups/cindy-scott
We've negotiated with the resort to provide the best group price possible. Each invited guest MUST stay at Garza Blanca Cancun and book through our link, which can also be found under the "Travel" section on our site: https://cancun.garzablancaresort.com/wedding-groups/cindy-scott The resort does not consider bookings outside of the provided link as part of our wedding and will charge you for a day pass to participate in the wedding festivities. Soooo, please let's just avoid a headache and book through the link :) Garza Blanca requires a 30% deposit when you book. The remaining balance is due at check-in.
Yes, there is a three-night minimum required stay. The official dates are February 13-16, 2025. However, our negotiated rate is good for three days before and after the official dates, so feel free to extend your stay – because we definitely will!
For reliable transportation from the airport to Garza Blanca, we recommend Cancun Shuttle. Pricing varies based on the type of vehicle and whether it is private or shared. We've paid approximately $40 for a private car accommodating two passengers. If you're traveling with a larger group, you can opt for a spacious van. For more details, visit their website at https://www.cancunshuttle.com/ You can book a shuttle directly through Garza Blanca or arrange a taxi with the front desk for your transportation back to the airport, which costs approximately $40.
The welcome party, ceremony, and cocktail hour will take place outdoors while the reception will be indoors. There is a covered palapa (aka really large, thatched gazebo) for the ceremony. Cocktail hour will take place right next to the ceremony space. The reception is in the resort's ballroom (so we can get everyone back into the air-conditioning to dance the night away).
We love your little ones but all wedding-related events are for adults only. However, Garza Blanca is a family-friendly resort and children are still welcome to join you for the duration of your stay! They would just need to have someone else take care of them during wedding activities (onsite baby sitters are available through the resort).
While we would love to throw a huge celebration, we have a strict capacity limit. Please refer to your invitation as it states which guests are invited to the wedding activities. However, additional guests are welcome to stay at the resort for the duration of the stay! They would just not be able to join for wedding events.
C'mon you had to ask? This is a Cindy and Scott wedding at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico! Yes, there will be an open bar for the Welcome Party, Cocktail Hour, and Reception. Plus, your all-inclusive reservation means it's an open bar the whole time you're there!
Please arrive at the ceremony location between 3:30 - 3:45 PM. Ceremony will begin at 4 PM sharp and our wedding planner will unapologetically shame you for arriving late.
The formal reception will end at 11:00 PM. While there is not an official after-party, interested guests can continue celebrating with us on the rooftop terrace directly outside of the reception hall.
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a physical gift, we have a registry that will deliver the gift directly to our home. We will have a wedding card box at our reception, but please do not travel with any other gifts due to the logistics of bringing everything back home.
