Question

Can I bring my kids to the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding is an Adults Only event so no little ones will be able to attend at this time. We still love them though!

Can I or we bring a plus one?

Answer

All save the dates have been sent out with invitations to follow. It will have the names of the invitees on the outside of the envelope with the corresponding address. If it's one person listed there will be one Save The Date included. If there are two or more the same will apply. This is an invite only event. We will not be able to accommodate any plus one's at this time.

I didn't RSVP in time can I still come?

Answer

Unfortunately, once the RSVP date has passed (May 1st, 2024) we cannot accept anymore guest due to our agreements with our vendors. However, please know we will be streaming the wedding via Zoom. So you will still be able to watch the joyous occasion LIVE from home. More details will come closer to the wedding.

What is the Wedding Attire?

Answer

The attire for our wedding ceremony and reception is formal. Feel free to wear whatever colors you want EXCEPT White (we know it's a given, but sometimes you never know) and Black (no funeral vibes here). We want our wedding to resemble a fun, colorful, and vibrant feel like our love! Some have asked our wedding colors as they would prefer to steer clear of wearing them which is totally fine as well (we don't mind either way). Our wedding colors are Blue and Burgundy similar to the website.

For the Queen Kapiolani Hotel discounts specifically you can contact Julie Ogata at (808) 931-4419. She's excellent and is more than happy to help you with your booking and will include our wedding group discount!

How far is the airport from the venue?

Answer

Honolulu International Airport is about 20-25 minutes away from the Wedding Venue at Queen Kapiolani Hotel. For transportation we recommend using an Uber or Lyft.

Will you be streaming your wedding for those who cannot attend?

Answer

YES! We will be streaming our wedding via Zoom and will be sharing out this information closer to the wedding for those who will be participating.

How far is the Ceremony from the Reception?

Answer

The Ceremony and Reception are both at the same venue both on the Rooftop Deck of Queen Kapiolani Hotel. So they are right next to each other and literally just a few feet away.

Is the Welcome Party Luau Free?

Answer

The Luau on Friday 8/9 is not free, but the tickets for Luau can be found on the Schedule tap. Most Luaus include food and drinks with your ticket. This is optional so please DO NOT feel pressured to come if you don't want to or are not able. There is plenty of amazing things to do in Hawaii and this is just one of them.

Travel for your wedding is expensive can you help pay for me?

Answer

As much as we would love to pay for everyone to attend, we are not able to at this time. We completely understand everyone's financial situation is different and even appreciate your consideration of coming to our wedding. However, if you are not able to attend please know we are very empathic and understanding. There is no pressure to attend and we love you all regardless. You will definitely see us when we get back home as Husband and Wife.

What's The Weather Like in Hawaii in August?

Answer

Highs are about 80 degrees and Lows are around 75 degrees. It can get humid in Hawaii around this time of year (around 40% - 60%) so keep that in mind as your are packing and preparing to travel. It also can get a bit chilly due to the ocean winds so it's recommended to bring a jacket or sweater just in case. Our wedding ceremony will be taking place outside on a rooftop in the morning time to beat the heat as much as we can and we will be inside for the reception. In case of rain we will move the ceremony into the reception room.
