Can you provide information about the Marathon?

The Garmin Kansas City Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, October 19, with road closures from 7 AM to 2 PM. To ensure a smooth trip to St. Peter's Church, please review this interactive map in advance to plan your route, allowing extra time for parking and finding your seat: https://www.sportkc.org/marathon/travel

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We request guests wear formal attire to reflect our downtown venue. For men, think a darker suit and tie. For women, a floor-length gown, knee-length cocktail dress, a pantsuit, or dressy separates are welcome.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us.

Where will the ceremony take place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be taking place at different venues. The ceremony will occur at St. Peter's Parish, Magen & Chris's neighborhood church in Brookside. This is about a 15 minute drive from the Hilton President. Please plan to book your Uber or taxi with plenty of time to spare ahead of the ceremony. There is parking available at the ceremony site if you are driving.

Where will the reception take place?

Answer

The cocktail hour will take place at The Kill Devil Club and reception will take place at The Gallery in Power & Light, both across the street from the Hilton President. Parking is available at the KC Live! block or Cosentino's/One Light garage if you are driving.

What are the parking details for the reception?

Answer

Since The Gallery is downtown, there are plenty of options for parking or valet around the venue. There will be parking validation available at the main bar. GARAGE - Cosentinos: Address:1226 Main St, Kansas City, MO 64105 Entrances: there are two; one located on Walnut and one on Main, both between 12th and 13th Streets. Upon entry, guests will be given a parking ticket that they will need to bring to the venue for validation at the bar GARAGE - KC LIVE!: Address: 151 E 13th St, Kansas City, MO 64106 Entrances: Must be traveling East on 13th St, garage entry between Grand and Walnut Streets. A large Blue Neon Park Sign at the entrance. Upon entry, guests will be given a parking ticket that they will need to bring to the venue for validation at the bar GARAGE - H&R BLOCK: open to public all weekend Address: 1344 Walnut St, Kansas City, MO 64105 Entrances: there are two; one on Walnut and one on Main, both between 13th and 14th Streets. Cost: $3 with validation- guests to bring parking ticket to venue for validation at bar VALET: Address: 61 East 14th St, Kansas City, MO 64105 Entrance: at The Gallery's front door Cost: $20-$30 depending upon downtown events this day

Autumn in the Midwest can vary and we are typically prepared for any type of weather. Normally, be ready for mid 50-60's during the day, and potentially drop into the 40's in the evening.
