Hi there! Welcome to the wedding website of Christina Alves and Michael Cannata, thanks for joining! Let me give you a little background on our love story. Mike and I have been dating for 3 years , since 06/07/2020. Mike and I first met when we were both in middle school, having mutual friends and hanging out in the Stratford green and 711. We both went to separate high schools and 7 years later we rekindled! Thanks to the power of social media! Our first date was at Boca Oyster Bar, later followed by drinks at Taco Co! We fell in love instantly and it has been the best 3 years of our lives. For those of you who know me, you know I basically live in the kitchen. One of our favorite things to do as a couple is cook a hearty meal together and enjoy a nice spritzer. We are always finding new ways to challenge our palette. We enjoy following cooking accounts on social media and sending new and exciting recipes to each other! so far our favorite things in the kitchen are King crab legs, lobster tail, pasta and steak! Quality time is both of our love languages, so we are always intentional and love creating new experiences together. Such as our yearly vacations (big or small) to Newport, Florida (our favorite) and Mystic! Both of our favorite memory is our July of 2023 Florida Trip! Did I mention we both love the beach? But my most favorite memory, is the proposal day! We spent the whole day with our loved ones at Captains Cove, enjoying each others company and indulging in lobster tails, fries, clam strips, burgers etc. When the day was over, we recapped on how great our day was. We were both feeling the love. It was the perfect moment when Mike got off the couch and got down on one knee! He asked my dad for his permission that day and the ring was certainly growing a hole in his pocket! He knew how excited I was. This is such an exciting time in our lives and we are so grateful to be sharing it with our loved ones. We can't wait to celebrate our big day with you on October 26, 2024!
