The City Museum is a 100 year old warehouse in downtown St. Louis that artists have repurposed to build miles of tunnels, slides, climbers, bridges, and castles. The city museum is an adult playground and great for children as well!
Once one of the largest and busiest train terminals in the world, Union Station has been redefined in such a way that honors the rich history of St. Louis and Union Station in modern form! Lee and Christina visited the stunning St. Louis Aquarium that maintains a train theme throughout. While new and still growing, we enjoyed the hands-on experiences. Enjoy the 3D light show set to music inside The Grand-Hall's 65-ft vaulted ceiling, or an animated fire and light show at the pond in Union Station. Additionally, there are many restaurants and activities, such as a 200-ft enclosed ferris wheel and mini golf, to enjoy.
The Saint Louis Zoo is one of our favorite spots! Housing over 13,000 animals, this zoo is one of the most-visited attractions in St. Louis. And it's free! The STL zoo is located in Forest Park, considered one of the nation's greatest urban public parks with 1,300 acres featuring forest trails, lakes, golf course, Missouri History Museum, and the St. Louis Art Museum among other attractions!
