In 2014, Christi was sentenced to teach 6th; what she thought was a "death sentence" of her teaching career; only to discover it was the spark to change her life. Bart was an active father in his son, Landen's life; whom was a student in Christi's 6th grade (death sentence) math class. Landen was the student that kept the class laughing & would share about events in his life that always involved his father. Christi was impressed and decided she was going to investigate more about this father. Fast forward to August 2015, Bart & Landen are registering for 7th grade. Christi asked about Jeter Landscaping for her yard. Now, they had each other's phone numbers and the friendly text messages were traded back and forth for a couple of weeks. Plus, she really did need some landscaping services at her house. On August 22, 2015, they connected at the North Texas State Fair while they were out with their friends. The date is significant to Christi because it is her grandparents wedding anniversary who also meet at the fair, but in Cooke County. Christi's wedding ring is a heirloom that belonged to her grandmother when she married her grandfather on August 22, 1948. For those of you who have know Christi, you know the significance of her "Bennie & Papa." Living a life of gratitude & passion attracts exactly what the soul desires. Do not settle for anything less than your heart's best and treat everyone with love & dignity. Christi & Bart are grateful for their journey and everyone that has been a part of it.
