Chrissy and Thomas met each other way back in high school, when Chrissy was a senior and Thomas was a junior. (Yes, Chrissy is a cougar). Although they had a lot of mutual friends at the time, they had never met each other. It just so happened that two of their closest friends were dating at the time, so they were finally introduced after a school dance in the fall. Things started out shy and awkward, as most high school relationships do. And with Chrissy going off to Purdue the next fall, they had to decide whether to give long-distance a chance or not. After spending practically the whole summer together, they both realized that they didn't want this to end. They continued to date while Chrissy was at Purdue, and soon enough Thomas was off to Bloomington to start college at IU. They both felt it was important to dive into their own hobbies and make new friends at the colleges they were at, but always made time to talk on the phone at the end of each day. Chrissy would drive down to Bloomington to make it to Thomas's big soccer games (this is the only time she wore red and white) and Thomas would come up to Purdue whenever he had an off weekend. It was so special being able to introduce one another to the friends they had met throughout college. Chrissy was so thankful for the girls she met at the Kappa house and Thomas was so thankful for the boys he met through IU soccer. Throughout the long distance Thomas would say "We're only apart for four years and its so short for how long we will get to be together. The waiting will be worth it." Those words held true. Soon enough, they both moved back to Indianapolis. They spent every weekend together and knew only with time they would choose to get married in Indy with all their loved ones surrounding them. They look forward to celebrating their love and cannot wait to embark on this new chapter of their lives together!
