Question

Why is the wedding postponed?

Answer

We really don't want to endanger anyone's health with the Covid19 situation but, even more so, we are not confident that our families in America are able to travel to our wedding. We can't imagine having our wedding ceremony without our parents there to support us. We still plan to exchange vows and marry in October 2020 virtually but our big, joyous, wedding ceremony will be postponed so that our family can be present with us. :)

Question

Why are you getting married in Thailand?

Answer

This is where we fell in love, where we live day-to-day. It feels like home and it is special to us. Our dream wedding is here in Bangkok, surrounded by our family so we would much rather wait until that is possible even if it takes some patience.

Question

Why is most of your registry cash funds?

Answer

There simply aren't any registry sites for international couples and shipping to Thailand from America seems wasteful and inefficient when so much can be purchased in Thailand. We certainly do not expect everyone to send us a gift but we also know some guests will want some guidance for a wedding present. The cash funds will be used locally and we will send you a picture of the beautiful ceramic plates or local work of art or cool new air fryer that we bought with your gift. We will do our best to make a cash fund as personal as possible! We have included some gifts in the registry for those who feel uncomfortable with cash funds. These gifts will be mailed to Devin's parents and will be transported to Thailand through suitcases.

Question

Will there be events before and after the 2021 wedding day?

Answer

Yes, of course! Christian and Devin have an October Break during that week and will likely plan many fun days for friends and family! Get in touch with either and we will fill you in on all of the fun activities we have planned.

Question

I'm in Bangkok, can I join the elopement ceremony?

Answer

Probably not, sorry! Being away from family is really hard during this time, as we are sure is the same for many of you. For us, a big ceremony feels more like an actual wedding and we want to avoid that if our parents aren't there. The elopement will just be the wedding party and the officiant. You can join through our video streaming!

Question

How do you plan to stream your elopement ceremony?

Answer

Right now, we're thinking that Zoom is the best option but haven't committed to it yet. We will post a link to the online ceremony once we've sorted it out.

Question

Where do I RSVP?

Answer

We haven't made the RSVP live just yet! For the Texas Reception, once we get our tickets to the States, we will send another email to let you know it's a sure thing! For the Thailand Wedding Ceremony, we will make the RSVP live about 6 months before the wedding.

For all the days along the way
