Is the reception at the same location as the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Both will be at the Historic Bowens Mills. Our ceremony will be in front of a beautiful covered bridge and cider mill, with the reception following shortly after inside an air conditioned hall 200 feet away.

How far from the hotel is the venue?

Answer

Only about a 20 minute drive from the hotel listed in Wayland! Bowens mills is also 30min from downtown Grand Rapids, 40min from Kalamazoo, and about 50min from Holland.

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony is planned to be outside, with a short walk to the reception hall. In the case of rain, the ceremony will be held inside the reception hall with guests seated at their tables.

Am I allowed to bring my kids?

Answer

We absolutely love your kids and enjoy doing life with so many teens and families! Unfortunately, we are unable to host additional guests at our wedding other than those included on your invite RSVP. Please reach out to Caitlin or Christian with questions.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

You will be able to park along the driveway of the venue in the grass, it’s quite long!

How early should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony is scheduled to start at 5pm, so please plan to arrive around 4:30 to find your friends and seats!
