We met through a mutual friend in December 2020. Claude attempted to ask Christ-Elie on a date but she wasn't interested at that time. Approximately a year later, we reconnected again through our mutual friend and went on our first date on November 13, 2021. Now the rest is history.
The week before the proposal, Claude told Chris-Elie, “It’s been a while since I treated you like the Queen that you are by going on a fancy date." “I am taking you to a fancy restaurant on Saturday, August 5th, 2023.” Christ-Elie didn’t suspect anything. When they arrived at the restaurant, Claude started thanking Christ-Elie for the patience she had with him during the difficult time that he encountered by the end of 2022. Suddenly Claude got on one knee and said, “Everything I want in a woman, I found it in you." "I love you and I want to be with you for the rest of my life” Will you marry me?” Christ- Elie said, “YES”. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
I never believed in love at first sight until I met her. The moment I laid eyes on her, I knew she was the one. We began getting to know each other over the phone. Convincing her to go on a date wasn't easy, though. I wanted to move quickly, but she preferred taking her time. Spending time on the phone with her was delightful, but convincing her to go out was a challenge. Every time I asked, she'd reply with "NEXT YEAR," yet I persisted, undeterred by the repeated response. Our powerful connection became evident quickly, but she remained hesitant to go out. I had no choice but to learn patience. This experience transformed me into a more patient man, as I refused to give up. To me, she was the promised land, and I was determined to overcome all obstacles to reach her. Our phone-based friendship flourished. We discussed relationships, love, and our faith in JESUS. Her love for GOD, her passion, and her dedication to serving Him only fueled my desire to be with her. I firmly believe that a prayerful woman is a blessing to any man. Cutting the story short, she finally agreed to go on a date. Meeting the wonderful person I'd been talking to on the phone was a thrilling moment. For our first date, an interesting thing happened. We both unknowingly wore matching outfits for about 3 or 4 consecutive dates. It felt like more than a coincidence; perhaps it was a sign from GOD. Going back to our first date, I went to pick her up. The sight of her took my breath away, making me feel like a 15-year-old again. Her smile and her eyes were the most beautiful things I'd ever seen. She was the embodiment of perfection, like the saying goes: "if perfection were a person, it would be her." As I mentioned earlier, I had never believed in love at first sight until I met her. It felt like I was seeing into the supernatural realm and looking at an angel. I don't regret waiting for her. Our relationship isn't flawless, but it's built on trust, communication, and understanding. Most importantly, we pray for each other and together. I've told her countless times that we're not perfect, but we're perfectly suited for each other. In conclusion, to anyone reading this, remember: true love does exist; you just need to find the right person for you.
When I started dating Claude I was a bit afraid to start a relationship with him because I couldn't believe that this kind of man still existed. A man that is kind, peaceful, and full of wisdom. The man of my dreams. My prince charming. I had to ask myself, "Is this real?" "Did I finally find the man of my dreams?" "Did I finally meet my other half?" God confirmed that he was the one and that I didn't have to be afraid. GOD answered my prayers and gave me what I'd been praying for. My other half. A God's fearing man, handsome, who respects me and loves me for who I am. I could never thank God enough for this precious gift. I'm so blessed to have Claude as my fiancé and future husband. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with Claude.
