As many of you know, both Ata and Christabel are Registered Nurses. Their story began July 2020 when they met while on orientation as new Cardiac Intensive Care Nurses. Ata had almost immediately caught Christabel’s eye as one of the senior nurses introduced them to each other in the break room. Ata had no idea she was interested, and thought Christabel was just being overly friendly because they were soon to be coworkers. It wasn’t until Ata’s birthday that November that it all started to click since Christabel went out of her way to get him a small birthday gift that showed him that she listened to him and had similar interests. Working during the pandemic brought them closer together as they understood each other’s struggles both in and outside work. It didn’t take very long to have “the talk”, because December 12th 2020, they made it “official”. And that following March, they took the next step and moved in together.
