How did we meet? It's a story of fate, or destiny, God's will, and endless 'what ifs' that could have changed everything. It's after Christmas, and we're both on the same train, unaware that our lives were about to change. Sitting in his seat, Mike's outlet is broken and he is unable to charge his phone, so he goes to the cafe cart to find one that works. The cafe cart is busy with holiday travelers and all the tables have occupants. I, Chrissy, am still back at my seat, and deside to go up to the cafe cart to use the bigger tables so that I can organize my planner. I enter the cafe cart with my backpack and realize there are no open tables. I see a group of friends, some couples, and few tables that have open seats across from someone else. I walk over to a table with a man with dark hair who's back is to me. As I approach him he turns to look at me and I ask, "Do you mind if I sit here?" He gestures to the seat and says to go right ahead. He seems like a normal guy, not a serial killer, so I sit down, start pulling my stuff out of my backpack, put in my headphones, and start going to work. After a few minutes of silence, this man looks up at me, noticing my headphones, and asks, "What are you listening to?" I try to think of some cool artist or song to say, but instead I say the truth, after all, it's just some random guy on the train that I'll never see again. Still looking down at the table, I say, "Uhh, a Harry Potter podcast." I lift my gaze, and our eyes meet. He smiles, extends his hand across the table and says, "I'm Mike." The rest of the story... is pretty easy to guess. Mike and I love telling our story because you never know when or how you're going to meet the love of your life. While Mike and I have different personalities, careers, backgrounds... our differences bring us together and compliment each other. And our similarites, our values, make us stronger. Mike and I enjoy reading books together, sleeping in on Sundays and having brunch, watching movies, laughing and sharing our favorite activities with each other, and spending time with our friends, family, and animals. Mike and I are so excited to take this next step together with our family and friends surrounding us. We hope that October 29th 2022 is a day that we'll celebrate all kinds of love. We'll toast to unconditional love for our spouses, love for our family, love for our friends, love for the little things in life, and for the love in God's will. We thank everyone for blessing our marriage and celebrating lifes greatest gift- love. -Chrissy & Mike
