How We Met

03.12.22

We found each other on Facebook Dating and did little talking. Alex isn't much of a talker on social media or text messaging. He wanted to meet up instantly and enjoy each other's company. Therefore, we had our first date at Deli Delicious in Selma. We sat outside on the little table and chair set up for hours just talking about our favorite things. Alex knew at first glance that Chrissy was the one. Chrissy was the one that needed a little more persuasion!

The Proposal

07.15.23

Let's just say this day started out rough, but ended beautifully! Alex had wanted to propose to Chrissy at Disneyland in June, but Chrissy said she wasn't going to Disneyland during the summer and refused to go. So, Alex had to come up with a different game plan! He spent some time researching and asking friends about Sensorio in Paso Robles. Everyone told him it's wonderful. As a result, he booked the viewing with the private terrace. On the way there though, we hit some bumps in the road. His Subaru decided it wasn't going to Paso Robles and died in Kettleman City. We had to call a tow truck to pick us up and drop us off in Fresno. Where we then went home and picked up the Camaro and booked it to Paso Robles. We, of course, then got there too early to the show so we enjoyed some wine and local beers while we waited for the sun to go down. Chrissy kept mentioning that this place was a classic white girl proposal spot and Alex kept saying in his head, "Little does she know". Once the sun went down, the hills lit up with colored lights and we walked the entire trail. Chrissy noticed Alex kept looking at her funny, but she shrugged if off thinking Alex was just nervous with all the people milling about. Finally, we got back to the private terrace and sat at one of the tables and we looked out at the colored hills. Chrissy then brought up again that this is a classic place to propose to someone, but would be better at Disneyland. Alex finally got the nerve, got down on his knee and said, "Well I can't wait anymore... Will you marry me, Chrissy?" Chrissy just kept saying "Holy sh*t" and "What are you doing?" while he was putting the ring on, so much to the point that Alex had to mention "Chrissy... You have to say yes or no" Chrissy of course then said, "YES!"
