Best Boy
Not just the goodest boy — Leo is the Best Boy! The quieter (and smarter) of our two dogs, Leo is most likely to be found next to his food bowl or under the nearest table to wait for snacks. He enjoys quietly smiling at guests while they eat, guarding the backyard, and waiting for Grandpa Bob to bring him more chicken nuggets. His favorite time of day is breakfast.
Pib of Honor
Harley — AKA Pibble, Pibby, or just Pib — is the baby of our family and an absolute daddy’s girl. She is most likely to be found cuddling on the couch or bed, or trying to convince Leo to play with her. She enjoys using people as cushions, lounging luxuriously with her paws crossed, and doing zoomies in the yard. Her favorite time of day is bedtime.
Bridesmaid (she/her)
The first of my former-Universal-coworkers-turned-bridesmates, Alison and I met in 2014 while working as wizards in Diagon Alley. Our friendship deepened a few years later thanks to mixed drinks, theme parks, and Netflix marathons. Since then, Alison has shown me support and humor in ways I never knew I needed... including always indulging my love of funny accents.
Bridesmaid (she/her)
My first and longest friend! Cat and I met on the bus in first grade and have been besties ever since. I especially adore her kind soul, adventurous spirit, and compassion for others. While most of our decades-long friendship has been long-distance, Cat is the person who taught me that real friendship isn't dependent on your zip code. Fun fact: her wedding is the only one I've ever cried at!
Bridesmaid (she/her)
Christina and I met in 2018 during a mutual friend’s wedding thanks to a Dirty Dancing reference and constantly being mistaken for each other. Since then, she's become the sister I always needed. Her friendship is one of the most impactful in my life, thanks especially to her humor, determination, and love. I wouldn’t be where or who I am without her, and I’m so thankful to have her stand beside me on my wedding day.
Bridesmate (they/them)
My other Wizarding World alum! Josh and I met in 2014 while working at Universal, where we bonded over Potter-themed improv and good pizza. Thanks to a stint as roomies, endless wine nights, and perpetually planning our next tattoos together, I can't imagine a life without them. Josh is both my level-headed advisor and my reminder to live life to the fullest -- the perfect blend for a bridesmate!
Bridesmaid (she/her)
Though we're both from the Chicago area, grew up in Florida, and worked at Universal -- I actually didn't meet Mary until a convention in Nashville in 2019! Our friendship has since become one part loving therapy session, one part internet comedy show, and one part perpetual Vine compilation. She is one of the most genuinely kind people I've ever met, even when lovingly roasting me with memes.
Groomsman (he/him)
Ben has been one of my closest friends since we bonded over a slight misread of an Apples to Apples card in the Fall of 2015. Since then, our friendship has grown through a mutual love of nerd culture, bad jokes, and just general shenanigans. Even though our friendship led to my death in a “friendly” game of assassin, there are few others who match his kind heart and genuine nature. I look forward to his encouragement and joy throughout this momentous time in my life.
Groomsman (he/him)
I met Brandon through the BCM at UGA just before I graduated, and I learned quickly that he is the embodiment of what it means to be a kind, passionate, and caring human. Through our friendship, I have always known that I could come talk to him about whatever struggles were happening, and he would give me strong advice. He is also the kind of person that can really bring out the childlike joy within someone, and help them forget about the stress of adulting for a while. Being close to him helps me relieve the weight of the world, and just enjoy life for a while.
Groomsman (he/him)
Chris and I met through a small group, where we instantly bonded over how big of nerds we both were (and still are). We geeked out over the ideas of virtual reality, 3D printing, and being generally weird/awkward humans. Although virtual reality and 3D printing technology have changed vastly since then, we have only grown weirder and more awkward as time presses on. Being one of my D&D players who discovered a secret door by licking it only begins to describe the kind of man Chris is, and I wouldn't want him any other way.
Groomsman (he/him)
Connecting with someone while on a hike in a Nashville summer is often difficult, but David and I bonded fast while exploring the beauty of nature. Through the friendship that was born there, we adventured together through various other hikes, board games, and our shared love of dogs. David has played in almost every D&D campaign I have run, even though he has the highest rate of player character death, dying in every campaign at least once. I am thankful for his friendship and goofy positivity that I know I can rely on.
Groomsman (he/him)
Befriending Dillon through our board game and RPG groups has had a heavier impact on my life than I could have imagined when it happened in 2018. Even though our friendship has a heavy feel of “frenemies,” I count myself lucky to be close enough to him that we can give each other hard times about everything. He has helped me up when I have been down more than a few times, and it is in part because of his kind spirit that I am getting married to the love of my life. I am thankful for his creative spirit and desire to connect to others, as that led to many of my greatest D&D adventures.
Groomsman (he/him)
I don’t remember explicitly meeting Ethan, but once he was in my life it definitely got brighter. Ethan is the kind of guy who knows the perfect comment to say to get everyone dying laughing. Always down to play a game, ready to come up with some weird, chaotic plan, and generally a guy who radiates good vibes, he is a great boon to those who are around him. He has come up with some of the best plans within our D&D campaign, and I am always intrigued by the ideas that he comes up with. Ethan is a good soul to have around, and makes everything much brighter.
Flower Fella (he/him)
We first met Kendal through the O'Briens and have considered him an amazing friend ever since! Thanks to cabin weekends, DnD campaigns, and plenty of house parties, he's become an integral part of our Atlanta family. You'll know him by his warm smile, infectious laugh, and his high charisma modifier.
Flower Fella (he/him)
We also first met Steven through the O'Briens, and now we can't imagine a party without him! He's often the wittiest one in our Atlanta family, whether he's passionately discussing horror films with Chrissy, or tackling the most complicated board games with Robbie. His charisma modifier is matched only by Kendal, making them the perfect duo for our flower fellas!
