We met the "old fashioned way" when we were both part of an opening staff for a new restaurant in Bristol, RI. In the first couple weeks, we went on [what we didn't realize was] our first date at a wine tasting and the Eddy. We remained just friends for the first couple months of working together until something shifted on New Year's Eve. We made plans for the next day to hang out, just us, for the first time. We started spending more and more time together outside of work, and started officially dating on January 19, 2015! We adopted our cat, Apollo, in October of that year, moved in together during October 2018, and got engaged in November 2022. We have spent the last 9 years building a life together that is filled with love, laughs, bears, and "mutual weirdness", and we can't wait to continue our lives together forever!

We got engaged on Saturday, November 25th, 2022. We have always talked about eloping in Scotland with our closest friends and family, but we quickly decided we didn't want to wait until 2024 to tie the knot! With 2 1/2 weeks for planning, we got married on December 23, 2022 at the Grist Mill Tavern in Seekonk, MA. We didn't want to give up our dream wedding in Scotland, however, so we renewed our vows on the Isle of Skye in February 2024. While we were planning on having a summer celebration, we ultimately decided to only have our intimate Scottish ceremony with immediate family and closest friends.
