Maid of Honor
Lauren's known Caitlyn almost half her life, and loves her like her own sister. They share a love of art, cheesy television, and cat videos. Over the years, there's been shopping, graduations, baking, driving lessons, late night movies and gossip, and lots of Starbucks trips. They've been through thick and thin together, and Lauren couldn't imagine celebrating her and Chris's special day without her. Caitlyn is a senior at Golden High School, and enjoys playing the flute, baking, drawing, watching cheesy TV shows, and spending time with her cat, Marshmallow. She's always there with a funny story and a delicious baked good!
Alexa Porter
Matron of Honor
Lauren and Alexa originally met through Chris and Trey (Alexa's husband and Chris's best man). The two bonded very quickly over shared life experiences, working in childcare, and a love of hockey. They've had many girls nights and Bachelor nights over the years, and Lauren is so happy Alexa is a part of her and Chris's special day! Alexa is an enrollment coordinator at Faith Christian Academy, and enjoys spending time with her and Trey's dog, Gordie. She's always there with a confidence boost and a beautiful smile!
Hannah Harling
Bridesmaid
Hannah started out as Chris's CrossFit lifting buddy but quickly became Lauren and Chris's adopted college kid, never too shy to stop by for a hot dinner or to do a load of laundry. Lauren and Hannah have bonded over the last few years over school, memes, and a shared love of mental health. They frequently have hours-long phone conversations, love discussing nerdy topics like Lord of the Rings, and never miss a chance to tease Chris. Hannah is currently a student at the Colorado School of Mines and will be graduating with a bachelor's and master's degree in spring of 2025. She's always there with a sarcastic comment and a joke!
Trey Porter
Best Man
Chris and Trey met during their first semester of college at the Colorado School of Mines during a 7:00am math class. Through their four years, they were practically inseparable, taking classes and studying together. If that wasn't enough, they have now worked at two companies together, and spend time together outside of work so their wife and soon-to-be-wife can see each other. Trey is a process engineer at Castlengineers in Denver, a big Avalanche fan, and, like Chris, can talk about types of valves all day long. He loves spending time with his wife, Alexa (Lauren's Matron of Honor), and their dog Gordie.
Thad Douthit
Groomsman
Chris met Thad in elementary school and they grew as friends throughout middle school, high school, and even college. Thad was Chris's honorary third roommate freshman year of college, and then shared an apartment with Chris for two years and they became CrossFit buddies. Thad is a mechanical engineer at Forte Dynamics and enjoys watching and playing baseball, is an avid pickleball player, and loves anything outdoors! Fun fact: Lauren and Thad originally met at age three when their moms joined the same playgroup!
Jacob Shelton
Groomsman
Chris and Jacob met in middle school when Chris stabbed Jacob with a compass and they somehow became best friends. They spent lots of time together in school, marathon gaming nights, going to Crossfit and playing golf. They've managed to remain friends through four years in different states, and have spent the last year golfing and playing video games and board games with their friends. Jacob just finished a year-long international law master's degree program in Bern, Switzerland. He enjoys golfing, board games, and playing the bagpipes.
Heidi Noelle Rothfus

Heidi has been a Chris fan since day one, always there with a hug and advice from the cool (but sensible) aunt. She holds a special place in Chris and Lauren's hearts, and has always been incredibly supportive of the two of them (together and individually), and regularly checks in and chats with both of them. Visits with her usually include very long dinners, lots of jokes and fun games. With similar values, sense of humor, and lots of respect and love, Chris and Lauren are so happy she's officiating their ceremony. Heidi is an eighth-grade French and English teacher living in Chicago with her husband, Dave, and her kids, Sophia and Johnathan. She loves quilting, reading, and spending time with her family and their cats!
Edie, Kyle, and Parks Turner
Flower Girl/Ring Bearers
Chris and Lauren are so excited to have Lauren's cousins, Edie, Kyle and Parks, as part of their wedding nearly 17 years after Lauren was the flower girl in their parents wedding! The kids are so full spirit and energy, and are always the life of the party. Edie (8), loves to do arts and crafts, make bracelets, plays the piano and sings in the school choir. She plays soccer and is a Girl Scout. Kyle (8), loves LEGOS, especially Star Wars ones. He plays the piano, sings at the school choir and plays baseball and soccer. Parks (6), loves to climb things and trees, plays baseball, soccer, and the piano and is in the school choir. He loves Hot Wheels and Legos.
