Chris and Cynthia met through mutual friends at a concert in Socal on August 3rd, 2014. Although Chris is from the Bay Area, he was living in San Diego, and Cynthia, who is from Socal, was living in the Bay Area. Because they both lived nearly 480 miles apart from each other, their strong foundational friendship and bond kept them close, so close that despite the miles stretched between them, their love bridged the distance and it was the beginning of their love story. Sure enough, Chris weathered the Southwest red eyed flights back to the Bay to visit Cynthia often. Their first date was on a beautiful sunny day at Dolores Park in San Francisco, a perfect late afternoon picnic date eating the famous Ike's sandwiches. They laid on a picnic blanket staring at the clouds pass by, when all of a sudden...Cynthia hears a snoring noise. She looks over and notices that Chris had dozed off. Little did Cynthia know that he is a huge afternoon napper and their first date cut into his naptime -- STRIKE 1 for Chris. As the date went on, he took her to a famous Chinese restaurant in SF called "San Tung". Eager to know what was famous about it, Cynthia had asked about their popular dishes, but Chris wanted to keep it a secret. San Tung had a lonnngggg wait, but they waited for the food and Cynthia was very excited since Chris was hyping the place up. That wasn't until they got seated and the food came out, revealing their famous chicken wings with "tangy" flavored sauce. Unbeknownst to Chris, Cynthia was NOT a fan of any tangy flavored sauces... STRIKE 2 for Chris. But somehow, Chris's charm and charisma still won over Cynthia's heart, and they continued their long distance for an additional 2 years. Cynthia moved back down to Socal in 2016 and Chris followed her and has never left Socal since. They continued to build their lives with each other and have shared many beautiful moments together. They got their first furbaby Bentley in 2017, got engaged in Palm Springs and bought their first home together in 2021, and got their second furbaby Loki in 2023. Now, 10 years later on the very same day they met, they will unite in matrimony, sealing their bond and love forever, witnessed by their family and friends.
