Question

Are we able to bring our kids?

Answer

As much as we would love for our guests to bring their little ones, we kindly & respectfully ask for ADULTS to attend only. This is to allow our wedding guests, including parents, a night to relax and have fun! We would love it for our special day, to be an "ADULT ONLY" occasion. (Immediate Family members is exceptional). Thank you for understanding!

Question

Will there be assigned seating?

Answer

For the Ceremony, no. It will be first come first serve. Excluding reserved chairs for family. For the Reception, Yes! Each guests will have a number they're assigned to, for a dinner table.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

-Semi formal/ cocktail Wedding color palette: []Groom: Olive Green []Bridesmaids: Champagne []Groomsmen: Tan/Beige We just ask that no male guests wear the same color as Groom & Groomsmen and no female guests wear same color as Bride & Bridesmaids. However, if you want to wear a color that is part of our wedding color palette, then you can as long as it’s not matching the same gender of the wedding party. For example: If you are a male guest, you can wear a white button up shirt as long as the suit jacket, vest, and tie are not the same as the Groom or Groomsmen. Also, don’t wear an all white suit. 😂 What if your outfit is a different green can you wear it? Yes! As long as it isn’t Olive Green then you should be good! 👍 If you are a female guest, you can wear a green dress. It doesn’t matter if it’s close to the Groom’s color. As long as you don’t wear similar colors to the Bride or Bridesmaids, then you are ready to go! ✨ Because the Groomsmen’s colors are similar to the bridesmaids, we do ask for female guests to also avoid that color. (Any shade of white, ivory, cream, beige, etc can be mistaken as the Bride). This should only be for the Bride to wear. 👰🏻 Other than that, let’s all look good together! We can’t wait to see all your beautiful faces! ☺️ Feel free to google some ideas!

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place at the same location?

Answer

Yes! Ceremony will be held outdoors of Hyland, on the "Great Lawn." Seating is first come first serve. Immediate family & Wedding party will have designated seats. Cocktail Hour is held indoors in the Reception room.

Question

Will there be parking?

Answer

Yes. There will be 160 on site parking spaces. Cars can be left overnight if needed.

Question

Is smoking allowed on the property?

Answer

Yes. Smoking is prohibited within 25ft of any building entrance. No vaping or E-Cig smoking is allowed indoors. All smoking must be outside. Designated areas for smoking areas are the patio and the front outside entrance.

Question

Are masks required?

Answer

With COVID-19 still around, we want to make sure everyone is staying safe & healthy. Masks are not required but encouraged! If you feel more comfortable to wear one, that is certainly optional. Please respect everyone whether they choose to wear a mask or not. **If you are not feeling well or having symptoms, we ask that you to not attend. Thank You!**

Question

Are outside alcohol/liquor allowed?

Answer

No. Please do not bring your own liquor or alcohol to the venue to drink. Any one who is caught to have any outside alcohol on the venue premise or going to drink in their car at the parking lot, WE (Chris & I) will be fined, given a citation ticket, & lose our deposit according to HYLAND & The Three Rivers Park District. There will be security on site. Although the venue is very strict, we ask our guests to please respect their rules & guidelines. We don’t want to take responsibility for anyone’s poor choices & actions.
