We will provide transportation from the Omni Charlottesville Hotel to & from Mount Ida (about a 30-minute ride). Buses will leave for the ceremony at 3:30 PM & the last bus will leave the wedding venue at 10:00 PM.
Non-hotel guests are welcome to park in the Omni parking garage, subject to $2 per hour up to $12 per day; however, overnight parking for non-hotel guests is not permitted.
We hope to begin our ceremony promptly at 4:30pm, please plan to arrive around 20 minutes prior to find a seat. If you plan to drive yourself, please use the following instructions from Route 64. GPS will sometimes direct guests to take private farm roads not intended for public use so following the directions the old fashioned way is the best way to ensure a smooth arrival! Directions from Route 64 • Take exit 121 Scottsville/Charlottesville • Head toward Scottsville (left off exit) onto Route 20 South (travel approx. 6-7 miles) • Turn left onto Carter Mountain Road • Take an immediate right onto Secretarys Road (travel approx. 3 miles until you reach a 4-way stop • At 4-way stop turn right onto Blenheim Road (travel approx. 2.5-3 miles). • When you arrive to the black and gold “The Lodge” sign on the left, turn left onto Moonlight Drive through the open iron gates. • Follow Moonlight Drive until you reach the Lodge. Note: If you have mistakenly passed the entrance to The Lodge and come to a one-lane bridge you have gone to far. Please turn around to find the Lodge entrance on your right. This entrance is also the entrance for the Tasting Room & Taphouse. Additionally, Mount Ida Reserve also encompasses the Mount Ida Farm & Vineyard property with a Barn wedding venue. If you are traveling from the direction of Scottsville you will first pass a black and gold sign for Mount Ida Farm & Vineyard on your right. The Lodge is not accessible from this gate. Continue traveling 2.5 miles down Blenheim Road and over the one-lane bridge to arrive at the entrance for both the Lodge and the Tasting Room. This entrance will be on your right, also marked with a black and gold sign.
There is plenty of parking at the venue. Once you reach the lodge, you will be directed up the hill behind the lodge to the parking area. Any vehicles left on the property must be retrieved between 9AM and 12PM the following day. Outside of that time period, the property gates will be locked and the property will be inaccessible to guests.
Semi-Formal: Suits and gowns are welcome, and so are jackets & dress shirts and cocktail dresses. In addition, the wedding ceremony will take place in the mountain grove outside the lodge with the cocktail hour and reception to follow at the lodge. Please plan accordingly for the weather, as the event will be held both indoors and outdoors!
