As many of you know, Gina and Chris met in high school. They had a couple classes together junior and senior year but it wasn’t until after graduation that they really got to know each other. They went on several dates that summer and come August they made a decision to try a long distance relationship as Gina headed to University of South Carolina for nursing and Chris to Boston University for engineering. As one can imagine, it wasn't always easy being in a relationship where your partner was 950 miles away. Luckily with the help of Skype, quick flights to see each other over long weekends, and their summers/holidays back in New Jersey together, they made the long distance work for four years. After Chris and Gina finished their undergrad, they spent that summer traveling around Europe with friends for three weeks, by fall they started their careers, and by winter moved in together into an apartment in Morristown, NJ. The weekend before a trip out to California, Chris made dinner reservations at Liberty House in Jersey City (a place Gina had always wanted to try). After enjoying a great meal overlooking the NYC skyline, Chris brought Gina off the patio to the restaurants garden area and quickly grabbed the host to take their picture. Chris got down on one knee and popped the question, and Gina barely let him get the words out before she bent down to kiss him and say “yes”!
