We met through OKCupid before COVID vaccinations were available. Chloe lived in Boulder and Noa lived in Fort Collins, about 45 minutes apart. Chloe decided to swipe right on Noa ~in spite~ of all their outdoorsy pictures and hobbies. We started officially dating April 1, 2021 -- there was a slide presentation, and Noa wasn't even the one who made it. We didn't spend any real time together in person until we were vaccinated in May 2021. (Chloe had already said "I love you" at that point.)
In accordance with queer stereotypes, Chloe and Noa moved in together in July 2021. Or rather...attempted to. The next few months was full of challenges, but they stuck together with the help of a good relationship therapist and the game "We're Not Really Strangers." The air cleared on September 26, 2021 and a truly excellent day spent mini golfing at Fort Fun heralded the true start of our relationship as a couple. In the years since, Chloe got a divorce from her spouse beta version. Chloe also adopted Artemis, giving Noa's dog Tovah a rambunctious little sister. Artemis taught Tovah how to play and, unfortunately, how to bark for attention. Tovah taught her how to take up as much space on a bed as possible. Noa and Chloe bought a house together after a lot of work and conversations in April 2023 and jumped into far more DIY projects than was advisable. In June 2023, Noa proposed to Chloe through a custom Magic the Gathering card. Chloe has yet to counter-propose.
You may know Noa by the name Steph. They started using the name "Noa" in 2023 because of its Jewish roots and more gender-neutral sound. If you knew Chloe by another name, no you don't.
