Things To Do in Asheville
Downtown Asheville is less than a mile from Homewood, and it is a fantastic place to just wander around and stuff your face. For breakfast, check out Early Girl Eatery for some of the best pancakes you will ever eat. Cúrate, Tupelo Honey, Rhubarb, and Salsa’s are a few of many great dinner options, and don’t miss the French Broad Chocolate Lounge (named after the nearby French Broad river).
I (Keiran) grew up hiking along and swimming in the Green River in Dupont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest. Both parks have incredible hiking trails with plenty of great views and waterfalls - Dupont is also home to Triple Falls, which is featured in the Hunger Games movies.
The famous 178,926 sq ft Biltmore House is just a 10 minute drive south of Homewood, and although the admission price is rather steep, it is worth it if you’d love to spend your day wandering around a Victorian mansion. For a free option, check out the shops across the street at the charming Biltmore Village.
