We're Getting Married!

While our story goes all the way back to 7th grade, the good part doesn't start until junior year of high school. Without knowing it, both of us had crushes on each other. During baseball season and while Conley was out with a back injury and taking score, I went to one of his games in February with some friends and didn't bring a blanket or anything else to keep me warm. Conley was sitting down the bench from me and he must have heard me saying I was cold because suddenly he scooted over to me and said, "I can keep you warm." And the rest is history.

I've always been one for surprises, so I knew it would be a perfect opportunity to use a trip to Austin, TX for Chloe's swearing-in ceremony as a cover. We both went to school in Austin so naturally we had a lot of good memories in our "second home." One memory in particular was Valentine's Day freshman year of college. With Cheesecake factory to-go, a couple of blankets, and some candles, I took her to 360 Overlook for a candle-lit dinner overlooking downtown and the lake. The 360 Overlook is one of the hidden gems of Austin. With its breathtaking views of downtown and the hill country, we would frequent this location over the course of the next few years to escape the stresses of school and the busyness of downtown. It was only fitting that this would be the special place I would get down on one knee and ask Chloe to spend the rest of her life with me. With weeks worth of planning and cahoots with our friends and family, and about 30 strangers, we surprised Chloe on the top of the Overlook and made an already special place in our hearts even more special. Not only were we able to experience in that moment the immense amount of love we have for each other, but also the outpouring of love from our friends and family who were a part of our special day! We are so incredibly blessed and can't wait to celebrate this new journey with all of you. See you in Florida!
