Whether you're coming from Tampa or Sarasota, you will have to drive through Bradenton to get to Anna Maria Island.
The City of Anna Maria has a few motels to book but has plenty of home rental options. Holmes Beach is another great option for hotels, motels, and home rentals. The island has a free bus shuttle you can use to take you up and down the island all day.
The island is bike and golf cart friendly if you want to rent!

The FREE trolley service starts at 6am from both ends of the loop. Trolleys typically run at 20 minute intervals until 9pm, then every 30 minutes until 10:30pm. You may download the myStop Mobile app to access routes and timetables but Google Maps has accurate trolley information as well.
