What started as a mutual right swipe on Bumble turned into the love story they had both been waiting for. Tyler and Keri met on July 10, 2020 in San Jose, California. Although both almost canceled the first date, they met for a couple beers and bonded over a love for football, dogs, traveling, and wanting to leave California. Due to Covid severely restricting in-person contact, social events, and pretty much all indoor activities, they were able to spend a lot of time together - quickly realizing whether this relationship would work or not. Luckily, that time together grew to deep love, trust, understanding and appreciation for each other. In spring of 2021, Tyler accepted a job moving him to Charlotte, NC - ironically, Keri’s hometown. After about 7 months of long distance, Keri moved back to Charlotte in November. Shortly after, they brought Brewer home, who easily adapted to the downtown city life. Although Brewer takes up most of their attention, and the bed, they enjoy going on long walks together, taking Brew to weekend brunch & breweries, and arguing over who the he loves more. With over 4 years of growing together in life and love, they are so excited for you all to join them to celebrate this special day.
Tyler asked Keri to marry him on September 18, 2023. They had flown to Pittsburgh, PA for the Steelers Monday night game against the Browns, along with Keri’s parents. With it being Tyler’s first time there, they walked around downtown to see the sights of Pittsburgh, ending up at Point State Park, where the three rivers connect. As they took a casual picture in front of the fountain, Tyler got down on his knee and (finally!) proposed. And just to add the cherry on top, the Steelers also won! It was a perfect day.
