Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our friends and family dress up with us! We are requesting Cocktail/Semi-Formal attire. We recommend wearing something comfortable, yet appropriate (the ceremony will be in a church). No black tie is required, but please no jeans, t-shirts, or flip flops. Ladies, please refrain from wearing colors traditionally reserved for the bride. This includes white, ivory, or cream colors. The bridemaids will be in Plum, Grape, and Silver colored dresses, so please avoid this choice.

Question

Do you have a registry? Can I bring a gift?

Answer

Your presence at the wedding is enough and a gift is not necessary. We will not have a gift registry set up. However, if you wish to gift us something, we would greatly appreciate a contribution towards our dream honeymoon. You can contribute to our honeymoon fund on this website. You can also contribute by scanning the QR code sign that will be next to our card box at our wedding reception.

Question

Can I bring guests/ + 1's if not noted on my invitation?

Answer

We have addressed the invitation to the people we would love to come. If you received a plus one, they will appear on your invitation. Please ensure that you RSVP for you and your guest. Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

Invitations will be specific and will include the names of children who are invited. However, we encourage you to use this evening as a "date night" for yourselves!

Question

I do not want to stay at the Westlake Village Inn, are there other nearby hotels?

Answer

Yes! Under the "Accommodations" tab of this website you can find details of nearby hotels. These are the ones closest to the Westlake Village Inn but you are more than welcome to stay somewhere else of your choosing.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is complimentary valet parking at the Westlake Village Inn right in front of the Provence Room.

Question

How do I RSVP and when by?

Answer

Attached to your invitation is a QR code whereby you can RSVP, or you can visit the 'RSVP' section of this website. Type the name(s) listed on the envelope. If the envelope says "and guest" just type your guest's first and last name. Kindly RSVP by October 10, 2024. If you are unable to attend, we would appreciate you letting us know at the soonest opportunity. *RSVP will be available when formal invitations are sent out*

Question

What happens if I don't RSVP in time?

Answer

If we do not get an RSVP back by the date which we have provided, it will be marked as a "no". We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide a total guest count to the venue in the timely manner they have given us and cannot accept late RSVPS due to this. We hope that you understand.

Question

Where will the ceremony and reception be?

Answer

The ceremony will be at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church in Thousand Oaks, CA. Cocktail hour and the reception will be indoors at the Provence Room at the Westlake Village Inn in Westlake Village, CA. Please note, cocktail hour at Westlake Village Inn does not start until 4:00 pm which may not be right after the ceremony ends.

Question

How does seating work?

Answer

The ceremony will be open seating so sit wherever you please! However, we will be requesting you avoid the first 3 rows on each side at the ceremony for our immediate family and bridal party. For the reception, we will be carefully arranging tables so our guests are sat with those they know.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 2:00 pm. We ask that you arrive at least 20 to 30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow time for parking and seating.

Question

Can I take photographs/videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We would love for for all of our family and friends to be fully present in the moment with us, so we are having an "unplugged" ceremony. We ask that our guests silence/turn off their phones and refrain from taking photos and videos during the ceremony. Our professional photographer will take care of the photo coverage. You are more than welcome to take photos and videos during cocktail hour and the reception!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Drinks on us, hangover on you! Please drink responsibly and carpool/Uber if needed! The bar will be open for cocktail hour and after dinner. Please note, the bar will be CLOSED during dinner. Please plan accordingly. :)
