We had our first date at Top Shots, a pool hall in La Crosse, WI. After shutting down the bar on a Wednesday night we continued our conversation in the car until about 5am. It was pretty clear we had a lot in common and so much chemistry. After a few months of hanging out & dates we made it official. And our adventures, and love for brunch, red wine & each other have continued to grow ever since. On December 30th, 2018 we went to Milwaukee for an overnight trip. It was filled with so many things we love (food, drinks, new experiences and spontaneous adventures). Our last stop that day was dinner at an intimate Italian restaurant. During dessert Brandi proposed. In classic Chelsey fashion she thought Brandi was texting under the table and said something along the lines of "pay attention to me". In reality she was just trying to get the ring box open without the ring falling out. She set it on the table & asked Chelsey to marry her. Shocked and continuously asking if this was a joke, she said yes. Fast forward to May 23, 2019 (yes one year until I Do) Chelsey treated Brandi to their favorite meal, brunch. After brunch they went to Brandi's field to do a little batting practice. With the help of Brandi's best friend Jazz, Chelsey got to do a little proposal of her own. Marry me was written out in softballs at home plate. It was quite the task to pull off as Brandi is not an easy person to surprise. And in classic Brandi fashion there was work to be done so she loaded us up with equipment from her car to bring to the dugout, all the while she was upset someone left balls on her field. As Brandi approached, Chelsey had to point out that perhaps it said something as she was pretty much walking straight past it. She turned around to Chelsey on one knee. She was excited and completely surprised (we pulled if off)! The wedding planning has been so enjoyable and we are looking forward to saying I Do in the place Brandi was raised & the spot we both enjoy "vacationing" at.
