We have a rather unique story. Full of highs and lows, laughter and tears. In the midst of our journey with countless trials and errors, we encountered home. They say home is where the heart is and we are living proof of that corny cliche becoming our truth. lol. Love is a home that at times may become rattled by outside forces trying to break in with doubt, fear, and uncertainty. Within those energies, the foundation of our love proved to be solid, the walls of our souls were adorned with memories, and the door to our future welcomed even the most uncomfortable of changes that in turn continued to shine resiliency and hope upon our unity. We make this look easy, don't we? Although from the outside looking in we are probably the perfect couple.....and we do agree LOL. Here are a few things we have learned throughout this journey: 1. There is no room for past tense when building a future. We don't speak about what happened or what could have happened. We speak on what will happen. Living in the now and remaining present has allowed us to find serenity. 2. We communicate. No seriously. We can go on for hours talking about everything and anything under the sun. Being best friends with an open-door policy of communication has gifted us with healing, trust, and security. 3. We are spontaneous. We will randomly take a walk, go on a date, or plan a vacation. Being spontaneous has helped us escape the everyday monotony of being an adult. Life is hard enough! 4. We NEVER and I mean NEVER EVER are upset at each other for more than 5 mins. And WE NEVER EVER go to sleep mad at each other. Why? Because one day...one of us will not be here. No issue or disagreement is serious enough to allow our balance to fall off track. 5.
