Groomsman
Deb is proudly one of Skandy’s oldest friends. Deb has known Skandy for about 12 years now. First through Undergrad and then through being through college and roommates together in Grad School at ASU. He has gone through a lot of highs and lows of my life with him. From hiking a ton of Arizona peaks together, from going to college together and to now planning and attending his wedding. He has has seen him come a long long way. Still remember the late nights at mill and the ever so hard weekends struggling to get through assignments and life. Seeing the partner he has found in Chelsea makes me feel very excited about his future.
Groomsman
Jason, originally from Ohio, came out to Arizona in 2013 after graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a BA in Business. He and Skandy met in 2020 through mutual friends, navigating lock down orders, pool parties and bonding over beers. Actually, they met on a street corner while both going to Steve’s house. They didn’t know they were going to the same UFC watch party as they reluctantly made small talk while waiting for the door code and riding the elevator to the same floor. Skandy probably though he was being followed, but what they didn’t know at the time was that five years later, Jason would be following the rest of the groomsmen to witness one of the most important days in Skandy and Chelsea’s lives.

I met Skandy at a Halloween pregame during my ASU days in Tempe. The moment he walked into our apartment, I could see him silently judging the chaos, probably thinking, ‘How the hell do these guys live like this?’ Since then, we kept hanging out, and I quickly realized we’re cut from the same cloth—same values, same dreams, same drive. Now, he’s family. My time in the U.S. wouldn’t be the same without him—it wouldn’t feel like home.
