In June 2018, Chelsea was invited to join a trivia night at Fuzzy Tacos. She was nervous since she didn't know most of the group that she was meeting. She was lucky enough to sit across from Shane, who was really engrossed in a Blackhawks hockey game that was on. Shane was great at trivia, Chelsea.....not so much! But what really got Chelsea's attention was when Shane started singing her name!!! When Chelsea called him out on it, Shane claimed he was not singing to her but was singing the Blackhawks fight song, "Chelsea Dagger."

Chelsea knew that their relationship was something special, and even though Shane took a little longer to realize, their friendship continued to grow along with their feelings for each other. Their outgoing personalities and shared love for sports helped to grow their relationship as they spent countless hours together with their friends, playing rec sports, and watching their respective sports teams! Shane and Chelsea love spending their time traveling and attending sporting events. Many of their friends joke that they are never home because they seem to always be on the move. They have enjoyed visiting many cities, including New York City, Chicago, and Las Vegas, as well as traveling out of the country to Tulum, Mexico and Punta Cana, DR. They are so excited to cross some more countries off their bucket list on their upcoming honeymoon to Europe. They have seen countless hockey games during their relationship and are working on checking out all of the NHL stadiums, 4 out of 31 completed so far! They have also seen their football teams play (Shane-Bears, Chelsea-Giants for those that don't know) twice in the last couple of years and their record is tied 1-1 for these games. Bears vs Giants is happening again on our wedding weekend, who will be the winner this year?!?! The past few years have been filled with both amazing memories and difficult struggles and losses but through it all, Chelsea and Shane have loved building their lives together. They are so excited to finally, officially/legally, combine their lives this November!
