Best Man
I love my brother. You can see what a great person my brother is by looking at the wonderful family he's raising. I couldn't think of anyone other than my kuya who I'd want standing by my side as my best man.
Maid of Honor
My big sister has always been someone I look up to. She's been there for me since the very beginning, and even when we don't see each other for a while, we can always pick right back up where we left off. Some of my favorite memories with Smylin are reading together in the backyard as kids, filling out quizzes about our crushes in teen magazines in the early 2000s, and our sister trip to Toronto a few years back. <3
Maid of Honor
My little sister and I just get each other. Even though we're almost nine years apart in age, we can talk to each other about anything and everything. Some of my favorite things about her is that she's curious, loves to learn, and is always up for an adventure. I even convinced her to move to DC right before Jon and I left for Pittsburgh (sorry lol).
Groomsman
Woody is one of my oldest friends from school since we were six years old. I once saw woody drink 23 beers while watching Lord of the Rings (all three directors cuts) and then make a delicious quesadilla afterwards; wonderful composure.
Groomsman
Andy is also one of my oldest friends since we were kids. Andy cares about the world and he pushes me to critically think about it with compassion. He's great at debating politics, losing his keys, and recommending movies that I'll never watch.
Bridesmaid
Jules and I have been friends since senior year of high school, and it feels like no matter the distance that keeps us physically apart, we get closer every year. From playing rugby together in high school, to being irresponsible in college, to sharing our challenges and accomplishments with grad school, careers, and love, Jules is a forever friend, and I couldn't imagine this day without her.
Groomsman
I met Jon at Elizabethtown College during our freshman year. We were two Jon's in a small Pennsylvania town with no agenda but to laugh with our friends and have a good time. Jon lives life to the fullest and this Jon admires that everyday about him.
Bridesmaid
Katie and I met when we were interns at an international education nonprofit in Burlington, VT. She and I connected over our background in French, our love of travel, and awkward punny jokes. We stayed in touch after the internship, and not too long after I moved to DC, Katie did as well. She's been such an important part of my life over the past years and she and her partner have become close friends of Jon and I. We're so happy to have her be a part of our day!
Groomsman
I've known Max since we were six years old. He's been like a second brother to me considering how close we've stayed friends, eventually roommates in college, and then working together on the same floor in Washington, DC (I love to stare at Max while he works. What)
Groomsman
I met Alexander during my first full time job in Bethesda, MD. Alexander was also a fresh faced kid newly in DC. I didn't realize when we first started working together that I would find a lifetime friend. Alexander, lets eat a Big Mac, 20 piece chicken nugget, a large fry, and an Oreo Mcflurry. Thanks.
