As most great love stories go, the story of us showed glimpses of things to come in its earliest chapters in high school. Being a little more than friends since we were teenagers, we both then went to the University of Delaware, and continued to find our way back to each other. However, Chelsea had dreams of volunteering for the Peace Corps, and we broke it off for what amounted to a few years. We both grew as individuals, with Mike moving to NYC with friends after finishing law school and Chelsea moving to Philadelphia to work in a nonprofit for adults experiencing homelessness. We found ourselves both single when we reconnected at a good friend's wedding in 2016. History was repeating itself as Chelsea was heading away to Ireland for grad school, but this time we weren’t going to let distance get in the way of something special and we've been together ever since. On the weekend of our 5 year anniversary Mike surprised Chelsea with a drive through our hometown, visiting the fun and meaningful spots of our past, and he ended with a proposal in front of Chelsea's childhood home. We're so excited for our future and to celebrate with all of our loved ones. <3
