The photoshoot that was worth the anticipation, sneaking, and planning.
To start, God has/had his hand embedded in our lives and our union. Many called it cliché when Ciara shared out her prayer for her husband, Russell; but in all honesty, it's the truth. When you believe in God and put him in the mix of everything, he will show up and show out for you. When I first met Josh, it was spiritually, in my dreams. His name nor face was revealed to me, but his physic and mannerisms were all the same. God knew that I personally was going to have a hard time meeting the right one because I was a well-known resident at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and CVS lol... Rarely any single men in there. I almost gave up on dating until my best friend, Caryne, encouraged me to give online dating another chance. So, I mentally and physically prepared myself by removing and letting go of my past relationships and pushed forward. Once I did that, a few weeks later, I met Josh through Facebook Dating (he slide in the DM’s). If you know me, you know I analyze every detail and try to read people through pictures and post. Fast forward... Josh obviously made the cut, and I liked what I saw and read. From the beginning, Josh was and still is a complete gentleman. A little terrible at messaging back and forth through social media when we first met, but then again what guy isn't lol. Being the chivalrous man that he is, he did not give up on trying to get to know me, instead, he asks me for my Whatsapp!!!!??? WAIT!!!! WHAT!!!! (Sidenote: who does that! 🤦🏾♀️😂) I laughed and responded, "it's okay...You can have my real number". Fast forward, we talked and met for the first time at Duffy's downtown on clematis. (Again... being the chivalrous man that he is, he did not want me to drive so far to meet him). As I pulled into the parking lot, I saw him first as he was paying for parking. In my true fashion, I quietly watch and observed lol. I had to make sure he looked the way he said he looked. No Catfish over here!!! Needless to say, here we are 😆 . Josh has/is more than I could have thought to pray for. When he asked for permission to kiss me after a couple of dates, I knew this man was going to put me 1st, love me and respect me. He reminds everyday me how much he values my soul. Without reservation, I know with my whole heart that Joshua Michael Bowles will continue to love me in sickness and in health, Job or no job, riches and more riches, good times and bad. With that being said, I can't wait to proudly say I DO! ❤️
I knew it was God! Chella is truly heaven sent. I had officially given up on love and decided that the dating pool just was not it. One of my prayers to the Lord; was for Him to lead the way. I knew that if I was destined to find my true love, only God could place her in my path (Since I was clearly picking the wrong ones lol). Never did I imagine that love could be found in the most unlikely places. When Facebook launched a dating app, I joined with the expectations of pure comedy and entertainment from reading single women’s idea of a “perfect man.” Then, I stumbled on Chella's profile and began to read (if you know Chella she is very detail oriented). I laughed at some of things she had experienced while dating, but smack in the middle, there was a sentence about what she wanted, and it caught my attention. She stated that she wanted a man that loved God and I thought to myself “Josh you’re a man of God!”. I proceeded to slide in her DM (direct message) to tell her I liked what she wrote and that she was one in a million. She obviously responded cause... well you know I laid it on thick 😂. We had great conversations and I loved how she carried herself like lady. I wanted to get to know her more, so I asked her for her Whatsapp. Yeah, yeah, I know her Whatsapp?! lol 😆. I was nervous to ask for her number because I didn't want to come off as some weirdo. I'm sure you guessed it, she laughed and said "You don't need to ask for my WhatsApp, you can have my number..." The first date can make or can break you. So on the first date, we had decided to meet up at Duffy's in West Palm Beach. So if you know me, you know I got there early. So, I paid for parking, but I didn't see her yet (I thought she stood me up). I did notice a blue sonata with a super dark tint on the creep. I guess she was making sure I was as fine as my pictures on Facebook. She was smitten and had to get out the car. We had good conversation, but in the midst of our conversation she had to go freshen up. I jokingly made a comment "You coming back?!" As you may have guessed, she came back! The rest is history. ❤️ The Bible says He who finds a wife found a good thang and with the help of the Lord, I found my Blessing in Chella. I can't wait to call her my wife 👰🏾🤵🏾.
Down below is one of many prayers that I would write out to God. I can say 2 out of 3, so far is a blessing. Two wonderful nephews (Jace and Chance), one incredible soon-to-be husband 3 years later. God is working on 3 out of 3 soon to come. :)
