How we met

Long story short...

Dan and I did go to the same high school...but somehow didn't cross paths. Fast forward and we are both at Profenno's in Westbrook for...you guessed it...karaoke night! After a stunning rendition of PYT by Michael, Dan drove me home like such a gentleman. We would see each other around downtown but it wasn't until the next year when I got up the courage to send him a Facebook message to grab a drink. He said yes and our first date was at Sea Dog Brew in August 2016. Now, here we are planning a wedding and a lifetime of new memories together!

The Proposal

It was just like most Saturdays in the summer...Dan took off to golf early with the guys and I was puttering around the house and doing errands. We planned to do a little hike later that afternoon at Bradbury Mountain. Dan was laughing and smiling the whole drive up and I couldn't help but laugh along with him. He seemed a little strange with his hands in his pockets attempting to get to the top of Bradbury. The view was gorgeous and we sat there for quite a long time as people came and went. Then, I said "Okay, let's head down" and Dan grabbed my hand to help me stand while he dropped down on one knee! At first, I thought he might be falling so bent down and then noticed the ring in his hand...can you say shocked!!! He asked me to marry him and I quickly kept saying "Oh my god". He put the ring on my finger and we sat there for quite some time smiling. On the way down the mountain, Dan says, "You know you never actually said yes, right?". I quickly turned and told him "A thousand times YES!".
