Beachfront park located right on the Mission Beach Boardwalk, Belmont Park includes the largest wooden rollercoaster in San Diego, carnival-style games and rides for all ages, mini golf and lots of near-by eateries and bars. Free parking and admission but you will need to pay per ride/game.
Birch Aquarium houses over 5,000 fish and countless sharks, sea turtles, and stingrays in its sixty or so aquaria. It also has a special seahorse feature and touch tank with sea snails and small sharks.
