San Diego Zoo

La Jolla Cove

One of the most photographed destinations in San Diego with sea lions, snorkeling/kayaking activities, shopping and plenty of ocean views! Recommend checking out Sunny Jim’s Sea Cave (small fee) to explore an old smuggler’s tunnel used during Prohibition.

Gaslamp Quarter

Plenty of shopping, bars/breweries, and unique restaurants. At night, this place comes alive with clubs, bars and speakeasies!

Balboa Park

Packed with trails, gardens, museums, zoos, theaters, concert stages and recreational facilities, it’s one of the biggest tourist attractions in the entire state of California.

Old Point Loma Lighthouse

Walking trails, cliff views of the Pacific Ocean, tidepools and the lighthouse museum. Note this is a state park so there is a small fee per car charged at entrance.

Belmont Park

Beachfront park located right on the Mission Beach Boardwalk, Belmont Park includes the largest wooden rollercoaster in San Diego, carnival-style games and rides for all ages, mini golf and lots of near-by eateries and bars. Free parking and admission but you will need to pay per ride/game.

Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography

Birch Aquarium houses over 5,000 fish and countless sharks, sea turtles, and stingrays in its sixty or so aquaria. It also has a special seahorse feature and touch tank with sea snails and small sharks.
