We're Getting Married

"We originally met in High School in 2005. We dated for two and a half years, however, life took us down different paths. 16 years later, as life would have it and by the grace of God, we found each other again. In August of 2021 we started to rekindle a friendship and get to know each other again as the people who we had become and who we are now, and just continuously grew closer from there. We officially started dating again in July of 2022, and we now have created the most beautiful, blended family with our two sons and our little pup."

"On July 1, 2023, just a few days shy of our 1 year dating anniversary, Chad and the boys made plans to take me eat out that night. As I was getting ready for our family date night, Chad, Zaney, Caeden, and Kaiya all walked in our bedroom with the biggest smiles, and I could tell they were up to something. Next thing I knew, Chad was on one knee asking me to marry him, with the boys standing next to him, and Kaiya had jumped into my lap with a puppy shirt on that said, "She said yes, my humans are getting married!" Of course, I said yes. And of course, I had to fix my makeup multiple times before leaving the house because I was overwhelmed with all of the best emotions that I couldn't help but cry. That's when I realized that we were going eat out that night to celebrate our engagement. Although, we didn't have a flashy proposal or an engagement video, him having included the boys and it being just our little family was just perfectly intimate and I wouldn't have wanted anything more."
