It’s not so often that you meet your lifelong best friend at just 9 years old, but when Maddie moved down the street from me in 2001, that’s exactly what happened! What started as two little girls playing dress-up and marveling over Harry Potter, turned into 20+ years of friendship. Despite each of us moving cross-country multiple times, we’ve shared just about every life experience together and have enjoyed visiting each other in whatever city we’ve lived in! Maddie is a fierce friend full of creativity and a love for travel and adventure. She's multi-talented both in her career in management, and as an artist. She is a planner extraordinaire, and sure to be the one running the show on wedding day getting things done with a drink in hand!🍸

Meet "Squam The Man" Andresen, my Best Man. Sam and I became fast friends shortly after I moved to Wisconsin from New Jersey. He lovingly dubbed me "Jersey Boy" and we bonded over our mutual love of the Green Bay Packers and Jamaican spiced rum. We spent three years palling around Wisconsin before continuing that friendship into college and beyond. Sam holds the unique distinction of being the only guy to have visited me in every state I've ever lived since high school: Arizona, Arkansas, Texas, California and Illinois. He's a loyal friend who I've laughed to tears with on more occasions than I can remember. I am thrilled he'll be the one beside me at my wedding!🏈

This blonde angel, affectionately referred to as "Light Sarah" is my other half! We pledged the same sorority at LSU and took the honorary roles of big and little sister as our original "family" left LSU around the same time. "The Sarah's" have remained close no matter how far apart we've lived and take great joy in occasionally surprising each other with a visit! Light Sarah is a ray of sunshine, who works tirelessly as a Physicians Assistant. She'll stop at nothing to make sure that everyone is happy and taken care of on wedding day! If you need her, she'll be petting the nearest dog she can find🐕

Big Pete, my good-natured, wise and oldest brother, will be our officiant on May 18, 2024. Sarah and I are proud that we have a family member who can be the one to officially seal the deal on what will become a long and loving marriage between two devoted partners. We chose Peter because he is thoughtful, caring and knows us on a personal level. I have long admired my brother for his unique insight into the world around him. We have no doubt that he will perform his duties with care while also adding his signature touch of good humor. We love ya, Pete!⛪

I'm so grateful that Laura decided to trade in her Midwest roots for shrimp boots and come down to the bayou for undergrad at LSU! We met on bid day when Laura joined Pi Phi and we became roommates not long after. Many late nights, long talks, tailgates, and shenanigans led to a friendship that has lasted through the years! Laura is an accomplished SLP, yoga instructor, and the most compassionate and gentle soul you will ever meet. I'm delighted to be living in the same city as Laura again after nearly 10 years! You can catch Laura preparing to scare an unsuspecting victim and making sure everyone is wearing SPF on wedding day ☀️

Perhaps more than any other person in the world, my brother Andrew has helped shape me into who I am today. He is smart, highly-motivated and fiercely competitive. Those traits were never more apparent to me then when we were growing up and I worked to earn his respect in life and in sports. He might bemoan the fact that I am taller than him (a truth that he forgets happened 15 years ago). But in reality, I am the one who will always look up to him. Andrew will be leading our rehearsal dinner on Friday night, welcoming our bridal party and guests to a weekend we hope they'll never forget! 🍻

Jenna and I go all the way back to high school when we were both on dance team together (Go Dazzlers!) and later became roommates after college. We spent ample time bonding over glasses of red wine, cry-laughing and starting impromptu dance parties in the living room. Our shared love of art and life talks have kept this friendship strong for over 15 years! Jenna is an IT wizard by day and a talented artist by night. She brings light and beauty into this world and shines it on others. You'll find her trying to take the *perfect* photo of a tree or tearing it up on the dance floor on wedding day! 💃

Derek, a man of many nicknames, can be summoned wedding-weekend using any of the following: "Dzo," "Derry," or "Disco Dzo". Likewise, he will tell you that any of the nicknames he bestowed upon me over the years also apply: "Alphy Lee," "Alfani Fitted," or "Al Fishsticks." Dzo and I are longtime roommates from college. He's known for his relentless spirit, fondness of mafia movies and keen ability to call out the world for just how ridiculous it is. He keeps us all on our toes, particularly when hiding around a corner, waiting to pounce. Please, Dzo, don't scare me on the alter. 👻

I was never blessed with siblings, but thankfully I grew up with cousins who were more like sisters! As kids, we spent countless hours in costume, putting on dances and plays for anyone willing to watch (sorry, family). We've grown so close over the years, and I'm beyond thankful for a friendship that goes past just being the "cool cousins" at Thanksgiving! Maddie is the most genuine, caring person with a passion for performance and talent for miles. She's a quadruple threat as an actor, singer, fitness instructor, AND drama teacher! If we're lucky, maybe she'll hop on stage and join the band for a dazzling performance... Champagne glass in hand!🥂

Don't let this tame, father-of-two fool you; this man has a wild spirit, particularly when tequila is introduced into the equation. A world traveler and connoisseur of life, Gaetan has introduced me to so many new places and experiences, generously offering his home on countless occasions in the wine country of Northern California. I am lucky to have a friend like G-Baby! 🌎

Another sister-cousin, Maci and I go all the way back... to birth. We share a birthday month and so many other similarities that sometimes I think we have the same brain! We can communicate with simply a look and know exactly what the other is thinking or burst into laughter together about the same exact thing. I treasure our long chats and the way we encourage each other to seek adventure in life, even though it doesn't come naturally to us. Maci is a force of calm with the purest heart who works selflessly as an ICU nurse. If she goes missing on wedding day, she's probably trying to win the affection of a stray cat somewhere 🐈

About seven years ago, I met Lance in the chaotic and fast-paced world of local TV news. We were two youngbuck reporters, working the streets of Northwest Arkansas, and praying we wouldn't screw up too badly on-air that we'd lose our jobs and dignity. Since then, there's been a trade-off: I still have a job as a TV reporter and Lance still has his dignity! Lance is one of the most authentic people you will ever meet and I genuinely enjoy every minute I spend with him. I believe you should consider yourself lucky if you make a new friend as an adult. Needless to say, I am one lucky guy. 🎥
